Sing Aotearoa

Sing Aotearoa Festival and Conference 2009 - Te Puna o te Wairua
NZCF's multi-cultural, multi-art festival was first held in 1990 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. Scheduled every few years, Sing Aotearoa brings together singers, writers, composers and dancers from all over New Zealand for an intensive weekend of workshops, performances and cultural exchange. The next Festival will be in Rotorua over Labour Weekend, 23rd to 26th October, 2009, and promises to be the most exciting yet. Put these dates in your diaries NOW. Click here to visit our new Sing Aotearoa 2009 page.

THE BIG SING

THE BIG SING is a dynamic group-singing competition for secondary school students. In 2008, 246 schools, comprising some 7,000 singers, entered the regional competitions held in Northland, Auckland, Waikato/Bay of Plenty, East Coast, Manawatu/Wanganui, Taranaki, Wellington, Marlborough/ Nelson / West Coast, Canterbury/Westcoast, Otago and Southland. This makes THE BIG SING one of the largest competititive events in New Zealand.

For more information, including dates and venues for THE BIG SING 2009, see THE BIG SING page.
