All choirs in the Manawatu-Whanganui and neighbouring regions are cordially invited to take part in a non-competitive SingFest 2108. Choirs may choose their own repertoire with 12 minutes maximum performance time. The commentator will rehearse a massed choir item and choirs may request an optional written evaluation that is private to the choir concerned.

After graduating from the Queensland Conservatorium, Joe returned to Hastings where he taught at EIT for two years. After further study Joe took up the position of HOD Music at Karamu High School for 12 years progressing to Head of Performing Arts. While at Karamu, Joe travelled to Auckland on a weekly basis for 12 months to study with Professor Karyn Grylls at Auckland University. Joe is now a freelance musician teaching singing, performing as a soloist (bass-baritone), as well as conducting community based choirs, high schools choirs, musical theatre productions and the New Zealand Male Choir.
Expressions of Interest: Choirs interested in the Regional SingFest are invited to email an expression of interest to the NZCF Manawatu-Whanganui SingFest Committee by 3 February for later mailing of brochure and registration form. Final commitment by 24 March 2018.
Preference will be given to Manawatu-Whanganui choirs if numbers need to be restricted to match the venue’s capacity.
