Membership benefits
For a modest annual subscription, members receive the following benefits:
- invitations to attend NZCF events, such as choral workshops and courses on singing and conducting, run by top New Zealand and international choral practitioners
- a reduction on the entry fee to all NZCF events; preferential acceptance where numbers are limited
- a personal copy of the quarterly Breve magazine and monthly NZCF E-news
- a membership card which allows reductions on ticket prices to selected concerts: Chamber Music New Zealand, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, The NBR New Zealand Opera and other choral concerts (details advised from time to time)
- access to ‘Individual members only’ areas of the NZCF website, with the ability to download educational articles
- 20% discount on music hired from the National Library's extensive collection
- the opportunity to form networks with other choral singers and conductors, for encouragement and the sharing of information and resources
Reductions on ticket prices to concerts
The NZCF has arranged with several national arts organisations to provide reductions on concert ticket prices for NZCF individual members for one ticket per concert. The ticket is available on presentation of the current NZCF membership card, which will be sent out within one month of payment of the annual subscription.
$15 discount on selected single ticket prices to the Chamber Music New Zealand 2012 season and $2 discount on Chamber Music New Zealand programme purchase. Members must purchase the tickets through the usual outlets (eg Ticketek or Ticketmaster) and pay any additional service fees.
10% discount on selected single ticket prices to selected NZSO 2012 concerts. See the NZCF website news page for regular updates.

Choral conductors are encouraged to join the Association of Choral Directors (NZCF ACD), which provides training, support, mentoring and resources for them.
The membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March the following year. NZCF subscriptions for 2012 are as follows: Individual $39.00, Unwaged $34.00, Student $29.00, and Family $50.00. ACD membership subscriptions are $80.00 per year.
The New Zealand Choral Federation is the largest choral network in this country, representing the interests of over 13,000 members – drawn from approximately 200 chamber/community choirs, 280 school choirs and 400 individuals. The NZCF is a member of the International Federation for Choral Music.

The following concerts are included: o Wind power - Wellington, Napier, Rotorua, Tauranga and Hamilton. o Back to Bach - Ashburton, Timaru, Oamaru and Dunedin. o Elizabeth Marvelly - Wellington, Rotorua, Auckland, New Plymouth and Wanganui. o Odes to Joy - Christchurch & Dunedin only. o Strings possessed - Wellington, Napier, Hamilton, Auckland, Invercargill, Dunedin. Members must purchase the tickets through the usual outlets (eg Ticketek or Ticketmaster) and pay any additional service fees. NBR New Zealand Opera 10% discount on single ticket prices (Premium to B Reserve) to all 2011 performances upon presentation of the current membership card.Members must purchase their tickets through the NZO box offices:
