Members of the NZCF Association of Choral Directors (ACD) now have an online forum where they can share resources, pick each other’s brains on repertoire, make plans for their choirs to collaborate, and generally support each other’s professional development.
The new ACD closed Facebook group has been set up by the ACD Chair, David Squire, and grew out of an idea put forward at an ACD Committee meeting earlier this year. The Committee agreed that the current ACD Facebook page was largely a duplication of the NZCF page, but that what was really needed was a forum for New Zealand choral conductors to share their expertise and resources. David piloted this idea with directors of The Big Sing in September and the page has now been opened out to all ACD members.
To join the page, look for NZCF Association of Choral Directors (ACD) on Facebook and request to join. You need to be a current ACD Member. Remember that as a director of a Big Sing or Kids Sing choir in 2019, you have automatic ACD membership. We may need to verify your status before accepting your request.
What are the other benefits of ACD membership?
The ACD is a network that provides professional development and mentoring, and fosters connectivity and collegiality between choral leaders. As a member of the ACD, you will gain:
