With WSCM2020 now less than a year away, and with hundreds of people from over 40 countries already registered, the 12th World Symposium on Choral Music in Auckland is shaping up to be one of the largest ever! We were thrilled with the response from the international choral community at close of the Earlybird deadline, and the WSCM2020 team are now heads-down working on the details, including programming elements to make this an event uniquely of Aotearoa New Zealand.
It was great to have Tim Sharp, Executive Director of ACDA and key member of the WSCM Artistic team, in New Zealand last month to adjudicate at The Big Sing Finale and Upper North Island Cadenza. Tim’s schedule was so packed while he was here – including an interview on Radio NZ Concert’s Upbeat – that he’s going to have to book another trip to indulge his passions for wine-tasting and fly-fishing!
International flights to Auckland for July 2020 are now open and we will soon be releasing special accommodation deals for both overseas and domestic Symposium delegates.
The next Advance Registration deadline is 31 December. Why not give yourself or your favourite choral director the gift of a career-boosting (and maybe even life-changing) opportunity for Christmas?
For registration information and prices, please pop over to the WSCM2020 website.
